The idea began with the traditional shadow box, a deep frame built to hold small objects and give them room to be seen. Cut and folded from steel sheets the frame keeps its geometry plain, while its open interior invites whatever you choose to place inside. That same depth gives the piece a second use: mounted on a wall, the lower edge becomes a small shelf that holds a candle, a ceramic, a book etc...

The box never prescribes what it holds. It stays open until the person living with it completes it.
